Veil by Yao Ruilin is a photography series with installation work that documents the artist's discovery of her Chinese past and her commentary on the present. Themes of censorship, relationship, individuality and identity are found through Yao's symbolic use of color, material, movement and location. The stories are personal, yet, the ideas revealed are universal.
